Fix glitch

Fun game, but it has some glitches, robot will not take items in inventory until after several tries, now Im totally stuck at the dog/oil can part, the robot will not take the combines plunger/gun to shoot the dog while he it drinking the oil! He just shakes his head.....frustrating! This game is not cheap! So please fix the glitches!!!

Lovely but frustrating glitches!

I REALLY want to give this game 5 stars, as the artwork and music are superb, and the puzzles are fun to solve. However, twice now, I have run into places where the game gets stuck and will not let me make any moves at all. These occurred when I was testing out ideas for how to solve different puzzles, meaning that unless I did those perfectly from the beginning, the game would crash. Not fun! FIX THE PUZZLE GLITCHES!! The makers need to go through the game thoroughly and test what happens when the player is still trying to understand the puzzles and makes normal errors. Have seen others comment on this same issue. Plan to keep watching for game updates and try again in the future. Until then, 3 stars for the beauty of this game.

Amazing

This is art as much as a game. It’s beautiful to look at and fun to play. Only problem is that it eventually ends.

Awesome game!!

Great game with amazing graphics. It would be nice for an expansion or a part 2.

Cool

Cool, it is how it looks, cool

Unintuitive puzzles

The art is fantastic and the gameplay is fine but the puzzles have no flow. They are so ridiculously unintuitive that it makes the game unplayable. Unless you have a walk through theres no way youll do anything in the game. So whats the point.

Bad Robot

This was the biggest waste of money. Yes it looks cool but the controls are barely functional and the main character, the robot is unresponsive to commands. So frustrating. Really wanted to like this game.

If you think FRUSTRATION is fun, this is for you

I really wanted to like this game. Its beautiful, original, clever...but it is way too frustrating. I think it is a combination of the controls being imprecise and the high level of difficulty. Having to go to the hint book after spending a LONG time trying to solve the "puzzle" (substitute self imposed torture) and finding that it was something you had tried is not fun, just aggravating.

Good Game bad on iPad

The game is squished in to fit the screen on ipad, it is not full screen like it shows in the screenshots, the game is wedged into a crummy graphic to keep the widescreen aspect; they could not even bother to make an iPad friendly ratio.

Machinarium

Wish I could get back the money and time I spent on this game. Tapping ten times just to pick up an object in my inventory or to make any progress is frustrating. I really wanted to like this game but the endless tapping with no result is a waste of time. Dont waste your money on this game, despite the nice graphics. What good are nice graphics if you cant advance. Im also getting tired of games that give you little or no direction on how to play. I dont mind figuring things out for myself but between the lack of instructions and tapping that doesnt work, it has been an exercise in futility. Complete waste of time and money.

Frustrated

I do not understand how in the world those people in the YouTube videos were able to solve the tic-tac-toe like game in the musicians level. I have tried hundreds of times by now, Im sure. Its absolutely impossible. There is no "human error" programmed into the opponent.

Brilliant.

I have been a huge fan of adventure games since I was a kid. This is every bit as fresh and unique as any of the best games I played growing up. The puzzles are challenging, the artwork is beautiful, and the story is intriguing. Im so impressed. I will look forward to more games by Amanita.

Brilliant!!!!

Clever. Great soundtrack. Logical puzzles. Entertaining.

Best game ever

This game is the best game ever. I got stuck a lot but it was still fun. I finally finished the game. I hope they make a number 2. I am very disappointed that I finished it. I started 1 week and 3 days ago and now Im done. It was a long and fun game.

Frustrating and disappointed

This game is visually interesting, but that is about it. There is so little instruction, that I could not make it past building the initial robots body. I was tapping all over the screen and could not figure out how to make the game do something. It should be much easier to figure out if there is no tutorial. Disappointing. I feel like I just threw 5 bucks out the window.

Problem with hint book

Im in the observatory part and I unlocked the hint book pages for that level and I cant get out of it I try to minimize the book but I cant it just gets big again when I take my fingers off

Beautiful game with terrible control function.

Great graphics and sound. Fun storyline. Horrible functionality. Im not talking about glitches; if you start the robot in the wrong direction, you have to wait for it to complete the entire action before you can turn him around. On the "side/mini" games, the controls are too small and if you tap just a little bit off, it closes the entire "side/mini" game down and you lose all progress. Frustrating to say the least.

Im so glad this app exists

Years back my mom happened upon your other game Samorost on the old PC and I fell in love. I knew something drew me to this app when I saw it in the App Store and now I know why! Thank you for making another one of your amazing games and in app form. My mom passed away from cancer in 2013 and seeing this game was made my the same people who made Samorost gave me a wave of nostalgia of the data my mom and I would try to figure out how to navigate your other game. I cant wait to beat this game, I havent gotten far in it yet but it has that same incredible design as the first one I played and I love it. I would definitely recommend this if you like solving situations thatll help you progress in the game. I dont know if youd call it puzzle solving because its more of a point and click type of solving that helps your little robot guy advance to the next scene. Whatever youd call it, its well worth the money.

Adorable.

This game was maddening, frustrating, clever as hell, and creatively just brilliant. I couldnt put it down. If you can appreciate a game thats pleasingly difficult, with gorgeously rendered graphics, an incredible musical score, an excellent story, and adorable characters, then do yourself a favor and dont shy away from the price tag. Machinarium is worth every penny.

Great puzzles but frustrating controls

This game is wonderfully creative and beautiful while at the same time being so frustrating that after playing for 10 minutes I questioned whether I would even bother to finish it. This is my favorite type of game: a nice mix of adventure, point and click, puzzle and logic. Many of the puzzles were original and fun, in fact some of the best Ive seen in this genre. But this game made me feel stupid because even though I knew what I needed to do next, I was constantly looking at a walkthrough because what I was trying to do wasnt working. You have to tap in just the right spot, while standing just close enough, and there is little margin of error. When youre trying to use an object you have to hover it in just the right place or it flies back into your inventory. I cannot tell you how many times I checked an online walkthrough yet again only to see that the next step is in fact what I had just tried to do. So I move the robot a little closer or hover the object in a slightly different spot and then it finally works. I did end up finishing the game but I feel like a lot of fun was taken out of it because of how many times I got stuck due to the crappy controls. This game would be greatly improved if you werent constantly repositioning the robot or hovering an item just a tiny bit in another direction in order to make things work properly.
